The Discovery Walk is officially unveiled!!! We encourage everybody to get out to LEARN some interesting information about our community, find ways to help SUSTAIN the Red River, and ENJOY the beautiful River Corridor Trail.
River Keepers is grateful to the HDR Foundation for providing grant funds to make these fantastic new interpretive signs along the Moorhead River Corridor possible.
River Keepers primary task was to create the green nature themed signs which include topics about fish, wildlife, and water quality. The content was reviewed by local experts Jay Leitch, Christina Hargiss and Don Schwert.
If you missed the event, check out this website for a self guided map for all 17 of the signs, the project history, take our survey and more: https://www.cityofmoorhead.com/about-the-city/river-corridor
Thanks to project partners Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, Moorhead Parks & Recreation, City of Moorhead, Minnesota and Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre for using their strengths to make this a successful project.
